According to this article Al Bano and Cristel will participate in a project encouraging children to write songs. Children from several different countries have sent in the lyrics they wrote, from which ten were chosen for the final. Known artists, amongst them Al Bano and Cristel, will write the music for the songs, which will be recorded in the upcoming months by the children's choir "Coro Piccole Colonne". The competition will then be held 24/25 March 2012. Cristel will set the song "L'astuccio Birichino" to music, Al Bano was assigned "Che Accento Strano".

This article reports an interview of Al Bano in "Oggi" in which he tells that he had a tumor removed at the prostate last December. Here are the interview parts:
"I discovered it December last year, I took the report and I heard myself say: 'You have a tumor'."
"I said, it's my turn. But then I thought I had to think positive, otherwise I would be even worse. And so I went the way of the cross that so many others before me have gone."
But Al Bano chose to tell only his older children, without giving up Sanremo. "Loredana Lecciso was told by the children. Romina? I don't know if she was informed. Unfortunately there is no longer a direct channel of communication. We speak primarily through lawyers. We are still at stake between courts and official documents because of her absurd economic demands."
Participating in San Remo was his request: "I asked and was allowed to do so. I didn't want to give it up. I may be mad, but I like it too much. It winds me up and gives me energy." And then he starts an appeal: "No one should underestimate prevention. Although, in my case, perhaps the stress may have had an influence. From 1993 to today I messed up my life gradually, I've had violent stresses. In the long run, your body sends you signals."
Romina Carrisi will be part of an exhibition together with other artists, from April 15 to May 15 2011. The name of the exhibition is "TAUMATART" and it will be held in Casa Balli in Locarno, Italy. More information here.
It seems that Romina Power will not host this season of "Ciak si canta".

According to "Chi" the next season of Ciak si canta will be hosted by Romina and Fabrizio Frizzi (with whom she conducted "Per tutta la vita" 10 years ago). Cristel shall also have a role in the program.
Al Bano reached the finale of 3 (out of 10) artists based on the votes of the audience and the musicians of the orchestra and reached third place in the following televoting.
Al Bano has reached Saturday's finale of 10 (of 12 remaining) singers. He sang Amanda È Libera with Michele Placido, who had already teamed up with him in 2009 singing L'amore È Sempre Amore.
On the third evening of the Festival (dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Italy's unity) Al Bano has won the prize for the best execution of the songs of the evening, with "Va Pensiero". He was also voted back into the main competition after his elimination.

On the second evening of the Festival di Sanremo Al Bano has been voted out by the jury and is therefore not directly qualified. However, two of the four eliminated artists will be brought back by the viewers tomorrow evening. So if you can, vote for Al Bano!

According to Yiannis Ploutarhos' official website Al Bano's new album with the Greek singer, "Una Faccia, Una Razza", will be released at the end of January. It will contain 12 new and old songs in both Italian and Greek, amongst them an Italian version of Ploutarhos' song "File", a Greek version of "Felicità" and the duet "Lei". Lyricist Minelono Cristiano has collaborated on the album, as well as Greek composer Thanos Georgoulas who has written three songs on the album.
Al Bano's participation at the Festival di Sanremo 2011 was officially confirmed. The song's title is "Amanda È Libera", with lyrics by Fabrizio Berlincioni and additions by Albano.

Al Bano has released a new album of Christmas songs, called "Il Più Bel Regalo", featuring new versions of songs he had previously recorded. He has also recorded an album in Greece entitled "Una Faccia, Una Razza". More information will hopefully follow soon.
According to this article Al Bano will probably participate at the next Festival di Sanremo, which will take place from 14-19 February 2011. Al Bano describing the proposed song "Amanda" to the magazine "TV Sorrisi e Canzoni": "Amanda tells the true story of a Northafrican prostitute who was murdered in Milan. A sad and heartbreaking story. But at this point in my career I believe I can allow myself such an intense digression."
Al Bano will present his wine "Taras" on 14 December, 21:00, in the Ristorante Churrascaria "Stella del Sud" (in via Torre S. Susanna, 75 ad Oria).

According to this article there will be a tribute to Tyrone Power at the 15th Capri Hollywood Festival, which takes place from 12/26/10 to 01/02/11. They will show Tom Rothman's documentary "The Tyrone Power Story" and the movie "Blood And Sand". Romina will receive the "Capri People Award" for her "multiple talents in arts and show business". Romina's film "Upaya" will also be shown and Romina jr. will hold an exhibition of her photography.
