Tool for more insight into clavichord layouts.

I consider it to be most usefull to see what will happen to a clavichord design,
if one changes one or more design parameters like scale, bridge position, compass, 
keyboard measurements and position, tuning system, etc .

It could be used for designing an actual clavichord, 
but as all the included features rely only on what is provided by Microsoft-Excel, 
this might be somewhat impractical.

It is an Microsoft Excel workbook (8,7MB), containing several big sheets including macros.
It will run if macros are disabled, but the handling is rather difficult.

Unfortunatly the main feature of my Layout tool: to be able to drag points in the charts itself
will only work in Excel 2003 but not in Excel 2007.
I have not seen Excel 2010 yet, therefor I don´t know if this feature is included in this version again.

you will find instructions at two places:
1. readme file (word) and  
2. inside of the excel workbook: a sheet called "mHilfe"

Unfortunatly the instructions are not in english yet, but the Layout tool itself has an english version:
click "Sprache" and select  "english".
The Layout tool is still not extensivly tested,
therefor you might run into problems, please let me know if you find repeatable errors, I might fix them......

Before you start: unpack the zip-file, make a copy of the folder (including the clavichordlayout.xls file and the readme file),
rename it as you like, and work with the excel workbook in this new file.
Leave the original  folder untouched as a backup for emergencies.
You can create as many folders as you wish,

                               BUT

it is important that the file name for the excel-workbook itself ("clavichordlayout.xls")
inside every folder remains the same!! - only the folder name may be different.
