Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein Palace was built under the auspices of Prince Johann Adam Andreas von Liechtenstein towards the end of the 17th century. The architect, Domenico Martinelli, constructed the palace according to the original design of Domenico Egidio Rossi.
The Hercules hall with its 600 square metre frescoes by the Italian master, Andrea Pozzo, is regarded as one the loveliest baroque halls in Europe.

The fittings, especially the oil paintings by Marcantonio Franceschnini and the stucco work, are amongst the most precious and valuable of the Viennese baroque palaces.
