Couples' reflections May 2012
Welcome to spring! We had our (hopefully) last snow two days ago and now I am sitting here in shorts. Our Easter Season readings on Sundays continually remind us of God's love. The appearances of Jesus assure the disciples of the truth of what he declared while he was with them. In Luke, Jesus appears and sees into the disciples' hearts and asks, “Why are you frightened and do doubts arise in your hearts?”
Try as we do, we seem to have similar doubts and fears.
- What are your greatest fears as a couple?
- What is your greatest fear for yourself?
- What is your greatest fear for your partner?
- What doubts rise in your heart concerning your marriage?
- What doubts rise in your heart concerning your life in general?
- What hope does God offer you?
- How can you change your fears with God's help?
- How can you adjust your doubts with God's help?
- How can you work together as a couple to increase your faith?
- Take time to give thanks to God for all that is and for all that is waiting you.
Blessings,
Clair+
