1971

  • Founding of the Austria Ski Pool association by Dr. Karl
  • Heinz Klee (ÖSV), Ing. Rudolf Sallinger (BKW) and Dr. Leopold Gratz (Republic of Austria).
  • Dr. Klaus Leistner is appointed secretary-general of the ASP.
  • the ASP logo ´A with stylised eagle´ is fixed to all pieces of equipment as official pool trademark
1972
  • constituent meeting of the ASP advisory committee in Lienz
  • first wind-tunnel tests for downhill racers in Austria
  • founding of the scientific advisory board that has planned and also realized about 150 projects till today
1973
  • formation of the Nordic Ski Poolmarking the start of a successful ski-jumping era.
  • development of the first jumping suits in Austria
  • constituent meeting of the Educational Advisory Board of the competition commission with the aim to establish and support schools emphasising skiing. Later it is renamed Board For Children And Youth Skiing.
1974
  • up to now the most successful season in the sporting sector due to Annemarie Moser-Pröll and Franz Klammer.
1976
  • fusion of the ski-companies represented in the ASP to the Austrian Racing Team (ART).
  • Arnold Koller is elected president of the ÖSV.
  • beginning of an international cooperation of the national pools aiming at unified and better advertising guidelines for the supplying companies.
1979
  • serious differences and arguments between ASP and ski-industry caused by tougher and intensified conditions on the market (tendency towards company teams).
1980
  • Tony Innauer receives special permission to use Dachstein jumping-shoes for the 90m jump-event in Lake Placid and becomes Olympic champion.
  • offices are transferred from the Maria-Theresien-Straße to the premises of the Innsbruck Ice Stadium.
  • the ÖSV grants racer-licences for the first time.
1981
  • the equal anti-trust committee ascertains that the ASP can’t be considered a cartel.

1982

  • application for membership by the companies Head and Elan are rejected.
  • restrictions of the industry when supplying racing services, especially for non-world cup disciplines.

1983

  • last committee meeting with Minister Fred Sinowatz, who then becomes Chancellor of the Republic of Austria.
1984
  • admission of the company Head with Ski Alpine

1985

  • performance-oriented structuring of all trainer-agreements
  • integration the of biathlon-discipline in the ASP.
  • president Arnold Koller is elected onto the committee.
  • vice-president Peter Schröcksnadel becomes for the first time one of the ÖSV-representatives in the ASP.
  • ART-companies cancel their ASP membership, but reverse this decision after negotiations and reform of the statutes.

1986

  • opening of the French pool also for foreign enterprises.
  • FIS lifts controls on advertising spaces on racing suits

1987

  • Peter Schröcksnadel pleads for separation of means by the Federal Government and the Chamber and means through purchase of advertising rights for value by the companies within the ASP.
  • KR Alois Rohrmoser demands replacement of Dieter Bartsch and Andreas Rauch and threatens to cancel his ASP membership.
  • the ÖSV nominates Mag. Werner Wörndle for Alpine Sports Instructor.

1988

  • Dr. Christian Poley replaces president Arnold Koller as chairman of the ASP-committee as of now and takes over the function of committee chairman.
  • it is planned to change existing basic agreements to individual private law agreements.
  • president Ing. Rudolf Sallinger introduces sports president KR Walter Nettig as his successor.
  • solidarity patent / partnership agreement is approved unanimously and established by ÖSV and ASP.

1989

  • Mag. Reinhold Zitz becomes new ASP manager and follows Dr. Klaus Leistner as secretary-general.
  • admission of Lange and Raichle.

1990

  • organisation of ‘member seminars / meeting of agreement partners’.
  • Peter Schröcksnadel becomes new ÖSV-president.

1991

  • president Ing. Leopold Maderthaner takes over president Ing. Rudolf Sallinger’s function in the ASP.
  • start to equip with suits by Salomon.
  • admission of Nordica, Salomon and Tecnica.
  • unanimous decision that member-fees paid by the agreement-partners to the ASP shall be determined by those fees agreed upon by the ASP-management and the respective supplier-companies.
1992
  • admission of Elan and Salomon for the sections Young People Alpine and Nordic.
  • FIS lifts controls on advertising space on jump-skis.
  • FIS decision to pay prize-fees as of now.
1993
  • cancellation by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
1994
  • renewal of membership of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce in the ASP for one year each, due to ÖSV commitment to secure respective advertising-services for the Chamber through the Austrian Ski Team.
  • commencement of cooperation Austrian Chamber of Commerce / ÖSV for organisation and realization of Austria-Houses on the occasion of big ski events.
1995
  • introduction of multi-functional racing services for Young People and European Cup sections.
1996
  • in the past 25 years the ASP has made available about 600 million shillings cash for the sport. Additional costs like material, service staff, fleet, etc. are not included. That’s a sound basis to provide the best possible conditions for top-performances.
  • honouring for 25 years of ASP-membership Marker, Carrera, Atomic, Blizzard, Fischer, Tyrolia, Dachstein, Doppelmayr
  • honouring for 25 years of engagement within the ASP Dr. Christian Poley, chairman of the committee DI Dr. Artur Doppelmayr, ÖSV committee member Dir. Manfred Hofmann, financial expert
1998
  • project ´desert skiing´ by the Austria Ski Team in the United Arab Emirates to promote the 1999 World Nordic Championships in Ramsau and the 2001 World Alpine Championships in St. Anton.

  • admission of Rexxam, Hestra and Nordica-Ski (instead of Kästle)
